After the wedding reception comes the wedding dance! There’s the traditional father-daughter dance of course where everyone should stand by the sides and cry (a little) in this display of letting go on the part of the father. But after that, dry your tears people because it’s time to party!

Dancing at weddings can be either formal or terribly informal. I would choose both. Am I crazy? No, not yet anyway. As I said earlier, you can give a few minutes to formal dancing then declare that it’s party time right after. The important point here I guess is that the initiative is supposed to come from the newly weds because the guests will be too shy (unless they’ve imbibed too much wine) and they’ll feel that’s it’s not their place to do so.

For the party, everybody is invited to strut on the dance floor–even the toddlers. Just like in the photograph, toddlers dancing with older people look good and cute. The scene actually makes a perfect memory, something to show your grand kids in the near future.

A little rusty? Practice dancing to the wedding tune using the wedding day dancing dvd. It’s a lot of help I tell you. Enjoy!
